Donald Trump Jr. the former president’s son said this week that he will help launch the Second Amendment Task Force. Trump will chair as it works to combat threats to the right to keep and bear arms.
“The Second Amendment is the whole ballgame; it’s the freedom that protects all of our other freedoms. Unfortunately the Biden Administration and Democrats in Congress are hellbent on eroding our Constitutional right to keep and bear arms, whether it’s nominating radical gun-grabbers to senior positions in the executive branch or pushing anti-gun legislation,” Trump Jr. told Fox News Digital. “The Second Amendment Task Force is entirely devoted to ensuring the Left is never successful in disarming American citizens.”

On Donald Jr’s “About” page, he takes credit for the downfall of David Chipman’s nomination to lead the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives. The website states, “made Don Jr. realize that there was an opportunity to better organize pro-Second Amendment efforts and dominate the modern, digital battlefield of ideas.”
The Second Amendment Task Force hopes to build its operation around Trump, Jr.’s, social media as well as his national media appearances.
Jr’s website offers a way to sign up and “Take Action” to donate It’s still unclear how the group will be structured or what immediate actions it plans to take.
Trump, Jr., has always voiced his love for hunting and shooting. He always makes an effort to attends trade shows like the NRA Annual Meetings and Exhibits along with NSSF’s SHOT Show.
