Disposing Of Human Waste In A Catastrophe

In the modern world, we tend to take a lot of conveniences for granted — one of the biggest being our waste disposal. If a disaster were to occur, it could mean we have to take care of our excrement ourselves.

Most people probably think they’ll just bury it in the yard. There are a few problems with that though as it can create sanitation issues, and you may run out of places to dig holes. Also, in an urban environment, you likely won’t even have this option.

The video above provides a few examples of how you can manage your waste should the plumbing go out.

Many people prepare for disaster with food and other supplies, but you’re more likely to die from infection or disease than a gunfight or starvation. While it’s good to prepare for these things, you have to be prepared to defend against disease and illness as well.
