(UnitedVoice.com) – White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre took over in 2022 after Jen Psaki left to work for MSNBC. Since then, she has earned a reputation for dodging questions. She was recently labeled as fragile after she ended an interview abruptly.

On March 26, Jean-Pierre called into 99.3 WBT Charlotte radio station for an interview with its news director, Mark Garrison, on “The Brett Winterble Show.” During the interview, Garrison claimed he’d spoken to a “number of people” who implored him to ask her if President Joe Biden has “dementia.” He said, “So before I move on from it, does he?”

The press secretary responded to the question by calling it “incredibly offensive” and saying she couldn’t believe Garrison would even ask it. He pointed out that people ask the question all the time. Jean-Pierre responded by making it clear that the White House physician had “laid out in a very comprehensive way the president’s health.” She was referring to the repeated clean bills of health Biden has received while in office. She went on to discuss his focus on the American people and reiterated that it was offensive before telling him to move on.

The two went on and discussed gas and grocery prices, before Jean-Pierre said, “And with that, thank you so much, Mark. Have an amazing, amazing day.”

In the audio the radio station played, a dial tone could be heard. Garrison laughed, and Winterble said, “Wow, wow, wow.” The radio host told Garrison he did a good job and said he didn’t “understand the fragility of this person,” referring to the press secretary.

The White House later insinuated the radio station manufactured controversy by airing only part of the interview. Deputy Press Secretary Andrew Bates told The Daily Beast that Garrison knew the press secretary could only fit him in for about seven minutes between other interviews that day and that he was well aware of the time constraints. Bates said that the station “artificially attached a sound effect that our phones do not make when calls end.”

Garrison responded that he didn’t add the dial tone audio and said he was told the day before they would have 5-10 minutes. “After the third question, she hung up,” he said. Radio host Pete Kaliner aired more of the interview later and said it was about six minutes long.
