President Trump gave a great speech at Mount Rushmore, South Dakota in celebration of this year’s Independence Day. Not surprisingly at all, the speech was deemed “dark and divisive” by the mainstream media. Now is a great time to think about exactly why that speech was interpreted in such a negative light by some, and by exactly who.

Of course,it’s hard to actually believe anything MSM says anymore. The media claiming President Trump’s speech was a “dark and divisive” one may be true, if you hate America. Many left-wingers have often shown signs and symptoms of exactly that. One might say it’s a pandemic of its own. There was no shortage of drama either; protestors blocked the streets, preventing people from attending the speech. Some were seen removing bats with spikes from their vehicle. Eventually, the National Guard stepped in and cleared the way.
President Trump’s speech covered important parts of American History, parts that radical left-wingers seek to destroy. He mentions America’s embrace of tolerance, not prejudice, and open debate, not cancel culture. He called out the Democrat radicals, and their true motives. This is what made the speech “dark and divisive”. For those who love America and are tired of the efforts to destroy it and create division between us, it was unifying. If nothing else, the response to it shows the true colors of those claiming social justice.
