Tin cans have proven themselves as useful resources in survival situations. They seem to be a gift that keeps on giving with their numerous uses, so don’t throw them away. They can literally save your life (no pun intended).
You could always make a stove from your can. Or you could become a soup can blacksmith. Both of these are great uses and can be helpful in a number of situations. Did you know you could also bake bread with a tin can? Well, you can!
The idea of baking bread in a can may not seem ideal, but in a survival situation, bread is bread — practically little slices of heaven. Of course, you could follow the video’s lead and use ready-to-bake bread, but how long will that actually last?
Yeast is messy, but it’s better than nothing and the traditional way to make bread. You can also make soda bread, which has fewer ingredients (a good thing if SHTF). These small portions will also help you reduce the resources you consume, making them last longer.
When SHTF, there’s likely to be no power, and that means no refrigerator. Check out how you can live without a fridge. If you think you could do it now, it’ll save you money on your electric bill.
Have you ever tried to make bread using this method? If so, how did it turn out? Reply to your email and let us know, we would love to hear from you!
